Latisse® is approved by Health Canada for medical treatment of hypotrichosis. Hypotrichosis is a medical condition that causes eye lashes to be short and sparse. Latisse® is a medical product that targets and stimulates the growth of eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and fuller. Latisse® can only be obtained through a prescription from a licensed physician.

The active ingredient in Latisse® is bimatroprost. This medicine was initially designed to treat glaucoma. A beneficial side effect of this medication was fuller, darker eyelashes which lead to the widespread usage of this medication as an eyelash treatment.

How is Latisse® used?

Latisse® is applied once a day before bedtime. This solution is applied along the upper eyelashes only. Instructions should be followed closely to minimize the risk of side effects. Do not use while wearing contact lenses. We will provide you with a detailed set of instructions following your consultation.
