Scene Eyewear: Eyewear With Purpose

Eyewear should go beyond comfort and style. At See & Be Seen Eyecare, we have an opportunity to provide eye care to communities around the world, helping everyone to see their best.

Scene Eyewear Mission

Introducing Scene Eyewear, available exclusively at See & Be Seen Eyecare. A marriage of German and Japanese craftsmanship, Scene Eyewear is a perfect balance of new-age design meets vintage hand-made artistry.

Our mission is to provide high-quality, uniquely designed eyewear while helping others with each purchase. Scene Eyewear is in partnership with Seva Canada, a charity whose mission is to restore sight and prevent blindness in less privileged countries.

Who is Seva Canada

Seva Canada is an international development organization that has restored sight to 5 million of the world’s most marginalized people and provided comprehensive eye care services to millions more in low-income countries since 1982.

They work with local partners to create sustainable eye care programs that achieve long-term change, are culturally sensitive, and reach those most in need—women, children, and people living in extreme poverty and isolation.

80% of blindness around the world is either preventable or treatable. Seva Canada’s mission is to bring proper eye care solutions to people who might not have the opportunity to protect their eyesight.

Our Partnership

Through Seva Canada’s So Kids Can See program, for every 5 pairs of glasses we sell, we cure a child’s blindness with cataract surgery, including a lens implant. Follow-up care is provided along with glasses, medicine, and transportation.

We built our partnership intending to provide healthy eyesight for everyone and use vision as a conduit to unlocking human potential. Just by purchasing one of our Scene Eyewear frames, you are giving a visually impaired child the chance to have life-altering cataract surgery that will have a monumental impact on the rest of their lives.

We believe in the power of purpose. We don’t just make eyewear. Our goal is to help the world see better, and this is the heart of everything we do.
